ZTA Family Night at the Ballpark!

Join your ZTA sisters and their families at Ameriquest Field in Arlington for our very first ZTA Family Night. Debbie Troxell, our VP of Programs has arranged this event for us which is set to take place Wednesday, July 21st. The Rangers are playing the Anaheim Angels - the game will start at 7 p.m.

This is also Dollar Hot Dog Night! Tickets (normally $25) are only $12.50. Please email Debbie or call her at 817-735- 8010 to reserve your tickets. (She needs to have a headcount by this Wednesday, July 14th). I'm bringing my husband and soon-to-be two year old.

ZTA Family Night will be on the Marquee -- you won't want to miss it!

    Summer Chill

The "Summer Chill" is our annual alumnae recruitment event and is where we invite all the ZTA Alumnae in Fort Worth to join our chapter. This is always a fun event for new and old members. This year's Summer Chill will take place...

    • Saturday, August 7th
    • 10 a.m.
    • Zodiac Room - Neiman Marcus - Ridgmar Mall

If you haven't been involved, this is a great opportunity to learn more about our organization. We will have a lovely brunch and will get a preview of the events planned for the upcoming year.

Please make plans to attend! The cost of the brunch is $20 per person. Make your checks payable to "ZTA Fort Worth Alumnae" and send to Debbie Troxell - 4121 Coral Circle - Fort Worth, Texas - 76126.

Cancer Care Services - Volunteer Opportunity

Cancer Care Services (CCS), the largest recipient of Susan G. Komen grant funds in Tarrant County, has been selected as the recipient of the Fort Worth, Texas Magazine's annual Dream Home tour. The home featured on the 2004 tour is located at 4000 Monticello, on the corner of Monticello and Virginia. Built by Hull Watson Homes, the house will be furnished by Circa Design Showroom and will be on tour from September 15 - November 28.

ZTA Fort Worth Alumnae has been asked to volunteer and sell tickets at the house during the weeks of October 6-10 and again on November 10-14. The tour runs Wednesday through Sunday each week with shifts from 11:00 a.m. - 2:30pm and 2:30 p.m.- 6:00pm; Sunday shifts will be Noon-3:00 p.m. and 3:00p.m.-6:00 p.m. Each member will be asked to take a shift during the tour, and signup will begin at the Summer Chill. There's no better way for us as ZTA Alumnae to promote cancer awareness.....and shine a positive light on ZTA and ZTA Fort Worth Alumnae in our community. Please contact Carrie Cappel for more information or to assist with this effort....CRC5221@aol.com and 817- 763-9656.

FW Alumnae Chapter Wins Big at ZTA Convention!

This year, our very own ZTA Alumnae chapter was the recipient of a prestigious "Silver" award for alumnae/collegiate relations. In addition, we also received an award for being the only alumnae chapter to give over $50,000 to the ZTA Foundation during the last two years. (According to those in attendance, we received a standing ovation from the convention for this achievement).

Both of these awards are great accomplishments. Thank you to everyone involved!
